The Hollywood Reporter has just come out with their Next Generation "Hollywood's Fastest Rising Stars" list, and we're thrilled to see that both Dee Rees, the writer/director of PARIAH, and Adepero Oduye, the star of PARIAH, on it. Nice little profiles in both. For Dee there a fascinating bit about her film idol, John Cassavetes: "You don't hear a script when you're watching his films...You're just watching life unfold. That is my goal as a director." And in Adepreo a touching note about the power of this film. She says, "Many people have told me they've finally seen something similar to their lives shown on the screen. It's a very special thing."
