Eric Bana (who plays Erik in the Joe Wright’s thriller Hanna) recently spoke to Michael Ordoña for his interview in San Francisco Chronicle (“Eric Bana in Hanna: Actor back to doing damage"). Bana talkes about his role in the film and especially his action scenes. Bana, of course, is no novice to action, having once been a superhero in The Hulk. For Hanna, director Joe Wright wanted the action to come from his actors, and not by the film’s editor, so he kept the scenes long and intense. For Bana, this intimate style of action quickened his pulse:

You know there's no way they can fix or cover a mistake…So it's very exciting because it really does become a sport. It's down to you, the cameraman, the focus puller, the guy carrying the cables, the background extras; every single component is working together at that moment as a real team. So the adrenaline is a little heightened.
