Hanna Wows New York Comic Con

Last weekend, if you were lucky enough to nudge elbows with Captain America, Princess Leia or ninjas drinking diet Pepsi, you would have also gotten a sneak peak at two scenes from Joe Wright’s fairy-tale assassin movie Hanna. Wright and two of his stars Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) and Eric Bana (her father) showed up to present a couple clips and exchange hilarious quips about fighting each other on set. The packed hall was pretty much blown away, if you can judge by the massive gasp expelled by it at the end of one of the clips, by the projected scenes. Wright admitted to EW’s Adam Markovitz this fantastical action pic is not what audience might expect from him: “Everyone thinks I’m all classical music and period films…It was very exciting to get the gloves off. I really enjoyed all the action stuff. It’s like pure filmmaking.”
