For Keir Gilchrist, premiering It’s Kind of a Funny Story at the Toronto International Film Festival is double pleasure, since he hails from this fair city. Local papers, like the culture weekly Now have been talking to him about his return and the film. In his Now interview with Norman Wilner, Gilchrist talks about the movie’s fine balance of comedy and drama, the ingredients of imitation puke and, of course, working with Zach Galifianakis:

He is a bit of a mystery man. I don’t think I’d ever say I understood him to the point of being able to predict him. I spent a considerable amount of time with him, but he’s definitely a really interesting person, both live and on camera.
