Los Angeles Times blog "Movies Now" hosts a smart video as part of their "The Envelope Screening Series" in which ANNA KARENINA's director Joe Wright tallks to Rebecca Keegan about how he conceived of setting much of the story in a dilapidated theater. Wright explains, "I just felt like I was kind of treading paths that a lot of other people had trod before me. And for a long time I'd wanted to kind of experiment with stylization and the idea that to stylize is about subtraction rather than decoration." Go here to see video.
