Mike Mills talks Dogs in Australia

The dog-centric website Four, which "is committed to bring you the best inside into everything dog-related," interviewed Beginners' director Mike Mills on the film, Cosmo and his own dog Zoe. In the article "Living With the Unknown," Australian writer Max Olijnyk relates his experience with his own dog Tess and Mills talks about what's it like when he takes his dog Zoe into the woods with him:

We get really coordinated with each other. She totally listens to me while we're out in the forest, she's out there scouting around, but she's very attentive. I've noticed that if I sit down, she'll sit down and look in the other direction, she'll sit with her back to me and sort of keep guard in that direction.
