NPR's music blog All Songs Considered posted a piece on the special relationship between Zach Braff and The Shins. The Shins not only figured heavily on the groundbreaking soundtrack for his debut film Garden State, but the group wrote an original song for Zach Braff's new film WISH I WAS HERE. Braff told NPR, "It's no secret I am a giant fan of The Shins. For this film, I asked James Mercer if he would consider writing something original, inspired by his first impression of seeing the film. Not only did he say yes, but what he came back with gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. He is a savant." All Songs Considered were kind enough to provide the song for listening on their sites.
