Miller, who co-wrote and co-produced FOR A GOOD TIME, CALL... with her pal Katie Anne Naylon, appears in the film as the lead character Lauren aong side Ari Graynor (who plays Katie). For Miller, the plan was not originally to write her way into the movie: "At first I was never going to be in our movie," she says. "The plan was to cast an established actress. But one day I had this moment where I was like, 'What am I doing with my life?' I basically had this epiphany that if it was ever going to happen for me, I had to make it happen for myself!"
