Focus Features Announces Picture Wrap On Spoiler Alert
Antoni Porowski, Nikki M. James, Jeffrey Self, And Bill Irwin Join Cast
Spoiler Alert from Focus Features has wrapped production in New York.
Antoni Porowski (Queer Eye), Tony Award winner Nikki M. James (Book of Mormon), Jeffery Self (Search Party) and Bill Irwin (Rachel Getting Married, The Laramie Project) join the cast along with previously announced Jim Parsons, Ben Aldridge, and Sally Field.
Based on Michael Ausiello’s best-selling memoir, Spoiler Alert follows Ausiello as he unpacks the emotional maelstrom into which his relationship was plunged in the 11 months that took his partner, photographer Kit, from his diagnosis with terminal cancer to his passing. Interwoven in the narrative are glimpses of the roller-coaster ride that was the couple's 14-year romance.
Michael Showalter directed the film with a screenplay by David Marshall Grant, Dan Savage and Michael Ausiello.
Showalter also produced with Jordana Mollick under their Semi-Formal Productions banner. Parsons also produced with Todd Spiewak and Alison Mo Massey under their That’s Wonderful Productions banner. Ausiello will serve as an executive producer.
Focus Features will distribute the film domestically. Release date is yet to be announced.
