Columbia Records announces the release of WISH I WAS HERE--Music From The Motion Picture in stores and online on July 15 with a special vinyl edition appearing on August 5. With music hand-picked by writer/director Zach Braff, the WISH I WAS HERE soundtrack includes new songs from The Shins, Bon Iver and Cat Power + Coldplay, and will be a welcome addition to all of those who loved the soundtrack from Braff's debut film Garden State. The album will be available to buy in stores and digitally on Tuesday July 15 - three days before the film opens on July 18. A special 12" double gatefold, 180 gram vinyl version of the soundtrack will be released Tuesday, August 5, which you can pre-order here. To celebrate the 10th year anniversary of Garden State's celebrated score -- Spin Magazine included it on their "40 Movie Soundtracks That Changed Alternative Music" -- Legacy Recordings will be releasing the first-ever 12" vinyl release of the movie's Grammy Award-winning album, with new artwork and a personal note to fans from Zach Braff.
